Pair awaiting trail on fraud charge too
Two people are awaiting trail following a robbery in Barnstaple at the end of last month, and police have renewed an appeal for witnesses.
They would like to hear from anyone who was in the area of the A361, close to the Ashford Garden centre, on Saturday 30 September between 6.10 and 6.45 am, particularly anyone who may have seen people walking alongside the road in the direction of Chivenor.
Since the incident Francis Geary, 37, and David Gibbs, 55, both of no fixed abode, Barnstaple, have appeared at Exeter Magistrates Court charged with robbery, handling stolen goods and fraud.
They are next due to appear at Exeter Crown Court on Thursday 2 November.
Officer want witnesses and anyone with relevant dashcam or CCTV footage in the area, to get in touch by calling 101.
