Man still in hospital four days later
Two people have been seriously injured in an attack in an alleyway in the Whipton area of Exeter.
The victims, a man and a woman aged in their 30s and 20s respectively were set upon by two people at around 9.30pm on Thursday 6 May in the Barberry Close area.
Both were seriously injured. The man remains in hospital in a stable condition.
It is believed they all know one another.
Police are appealing for witnesses to to call 101, or email 101@dc.police.uk, quoting crime reference CR/036409/21.
