A training programme for unemployed people in Exeter, run by military veterans, has been shortlisted for a national mental health award.
Active Plus enables former servicemen who're injured or suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder to teach jobseekers the skills and experience they've gained in the military.
The initiative brings mental health benefits to the veterans who've suffered PTSD - and some of the servicemen have also taken courses in supporting people with mental health problems.
Active Plus is now in the running for an Armed Forces Mental Health First Aid award.
