There's been a spate of house burglaries in Exmouth - with cash and jewellery stolen.
The burglars have struck in Cranford Avenue, Foxholes Hill, Salterton Road, Douglas Avenue, and Barton Close in Exton.
Many took place over the same few days in May and police say there were similarities between some of the break-ins suggesting that the same people are responsible.
Police are advising people who have to leave their houses empty to make them look as if they're occupied, with lights on a timer and a car on the drive.
Anyone who sees anything suspicious should call 101.
