It covers much of the north, mid and west parts of the county
A yellow warning for rain has been issued by Exeter's Met Office for later on this afternoon [25 October].
It covers much of north, mid and west Devon, but does not quite cover Exeter or the east of the county.
The warning comes into force at 3pm - and remains in place for 24 hours right through until tomorrow.
It states: "Heavy rain is expected across high ground of southwest England which may bring flooding.
"Flooding of a few homes and businesses is likely ... and spray and flooding on roads probably making journey times longer"
