Police are appealing for witnesses to the violent mugging of an 83 year old woman in Exeter yesterday morning.
She was left with a suspected broken thigh bone and cuts to her face and head after being pushed roughly to the ground by the thief, who snatched her handbag and ran off.
It happened in Willey's Avenue, off Alphington Road between 9.30 and 10am ... police are keen to identify a young man who was riding a bicycle nearby at the time.
