A 40 year old woman has died after a traffic collision on the A30 near Honiton last night.
She was travelling as a passenger in a silver Hyandai which left the road and hit a tree at around 10.30pm.
The driver, a 43 year old man from Torquay, was taken to hospital in Exeter. His condition is described as critical but stable.
The road was closed and diversions were put in place for around six hours while an investigation was carried out.
Any witnesses are asked to call the Police on 101.
