Man tries to steal handbag
Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was assaulted during an attempted robbery in Plymouth.
The woman, in her 50s, was walking on Monica Walk-in Greenbank when she was approached by a man who tried to steal her handbag.
She suffered a head injury after falling to the ground during the struggle for the bag. The man then ran from the scene empty-handed.
Police would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident just before 6.30 pm on Friday 14 January.
They are also seeking the suspect who is described as white, aged 18-25, and around 5ft 8ins to 5ft 10ins tall. He was wearing blue jeans, a dark-coloured top with the hood up and a face mask.
