Police say the incident involved two vehicles
A woman has suffered serious injuries, after a crash near Teignmouth this morning [22 July]
It happened at 10.45am on the A379, with closures currently in place at New Road and John Nash Drive.
Police say the occupants of the two vehicles involved have been taken to hospital, with a male driver in a serious but stable condition. A woman remains in a serious condition.
Devon County Council are reporting long tailbacks in the area, and advice motorists to find an alternative route where possible.
It is not known when the road will reopen, but police say disruption is expected for some time.
