The pensioner was hit by a car on Sunday morning.
A woman in her 70s suffered serious ankle and pelvic injuries following a crash on Topsham Road in Exeter.
Emergency services were called at 9.15am to reports of the crash involving a Vauxhall Meriva.
She was taken to the RD&E and the road was closed from the Countess Weir roundabout for 3 hours.
