Demolition work begins today on an eyesore building in Cullompton town centre.
Contractors have been employed by Mid Devon district council to take down the badly damaged Harlequin Valet building and tidy up the site.
The actual demolition is expected to take three weeks, followed by up to five weeks of work to make good the neighbouring properties and build a new front wall.
The council are also prosecuting the owner of the site for failing to comply with enforcement notices.
