Residents in mid-Devon are being warned they won't get away with environmental crime this year.
In 2012 the council issued 48 fixed penalty notices for offences such as dog fouling, dropping litter and smoking in a non-smoking area.
And last month, a man had to pay 650 pounds in fines and costs after pleading guilty in court to dumping tarmac near the River Exe in Tiverton.
The council says it will continue its tough stance on this type of crime and will also be stepping up patrols in local parks to enforce the dog control orders introduced in December.
