Watch: Grecians boss Matt Taylor to offer 'fantastic contracts'

Exeter City manager Matt Taylor says he's 'really close' to signing another player in the next 24 to 48 hours. The City boss added he's hopeful that more players will sign next week.

A number of City's star players are currently unavailable due to injuries, covid or suspension. The Grecians made 'really strong offers' to two free agents last week, but both players decided to move elsewhere.

Speaking to the media earlier today (Thursday 29th August) Taylor said: "We're in a position to offer some fantastic contracts out.

"I'd like to think we're really close on another player within the next 24/48 hours - and a couple of others next week. We want to sign the best players we possible can.

"We need players to come in and hit the ground running, especially when the squad's so thin and light in relation to the injuries at the moment."
