The firearms and ammunition surrender which is taking place in Devon and Cornwall until 26th November 2017 is now in its second week.
The police enquiry office in Heavitree Road, Exeter, is one of the participating offices.
Across the force area as of the afternoon of Thursday 16the November 183 separate items have been recorded. 111 of these are separate weapons of various types, the other 72 being various quantities of ammunition, totalling in excess of 1,400 assorted rounds.
Any firearms and ammunition taken out of circulation so that they cannot fall into the wrong hands helps to make our communities safer.
