It follows the death of 45-year-old Stephen Cook
A man charged with murder is due to appear before Exeter Crown Court today (2 February).
19-year-old Brian Jewell, of no fixed abode, was charged with the murder of 45-year-old Stephen Cook following an altercation in Sidwell Street on the evening of Saturday 28 January.
Mr Jewell appeared before magistrates on Tuesday 31 January where the case was then referred to Exeter Crown Court. He was remanded in custody.
Police have confirmed that three other individuals, two men and a woman, who were initially arrested as part of the investigation have since been eliminated from their enquiries and no further policing action will be taken.
