The South West's first adoption activity day took place over the weekend - allowing prospective adoptors and children in care to meet each other to see if they strike up a connection.
Plymouth City Council hosted the event and also invited children and potential adoptors from Devon County Council's adoption service.
The British Association of Adoption and Fostering says similar events have been running successfully in America for thirty years.
