A woman has suffered a number of significant injuries in a serious assault in Tiverton.
Police are looking for a 44 year-old man thought to be connected with the attack.
The Emergency Services, including armed police, were called to the scene at around 5.30 last night.
The woman was taken to hospital by ambulance after the assault in the Park Road area.
