Police were called to Dawlish last night to reports of a man with a gun.
Supt Matt Lawler confirmed "following a report of a male in possession of a firearm, officers deployed to the centre of Dawlish and conducted stops on two vehicles, and subsequently searched a private address. A male aged 35yrs old has been arrested".
He was interviewed at Torquay Police Station last night.
