Early morning collision with minibus
A motorcyclist has died following a collision in Plymouth in the early hours of Thursday morning.
Emergency services were called to Kings Road, Stonehouse around 5.30 a.m. where a minibus and a motorcycle had crashed.
The biker, a local man in his forties, died at the scene. His next of kin have been informed.
The driver of the minibus was taken to hospital.
Stonehouse Bridge and Paradise Road were closed through the morning.
Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to contact police on 101, quoting log number 124 of 25 August.
It is the third serious incident in which motorbike riders have suffered serious injuries, and in this case fatal, in three days. On Tuesday, bikers were taken to hospital with life-changing or life-threatening injuries following separate collisions in Newton Poppleford and Exmouth.
