You're all invited

Devon’s award-winning Cofton Holidays is turning 50 – and everyone’s invited to the birthday party!

On Saturday 13th September, the much-loved family holiday park will celebrate its golden anniversary with a spectacular all-day birthday bash packed with live music, family fun, and community spirit.

This year marks five decades of Cofton memories, from its beginnings in 1975 as a small campsite to becoming one of Devon’s most loved holiday destinations. To toast the milestone, guests can raise a glass of Cofton Gin, Cofton 75 beer, or enjoy a refreshing Orchard Breeze cocktail, all specially created to mark their golden anniversary.

The action kicks off at 9:30am with a Digby Breakfast at Amelia’s, where little ones can tuck into a hearty morning feast while meeting Cofton’s mascot Digby and the Cofton Crew. From there, the party spills out across the park with something for everyone to enjoy.

At The Swan Inn, guests will find fete stalls, creative workshops, a rodeo sheep, patio games, cake and craft stands, beauty and gin pop-ups, plus a sizzling BBQ serving hot food all afternoon. A tractor-trailer ride, balloon modelling, circus games, face painting, and craft sessions from pottery to tie-dye keep the family fun flowing throughout the day.

Live music takes centre stage with an acoustic set, performances from Phil Smyth, open mic sessions, and a headline appearance from Rich Cottell. Later, party band Fascination will turn up the volume before the celebrations close with a Dance Marathon finale featuring the best hits from the 70s through to the 00s.

Families can also make a splash at the Pool Party, while in the evening, guests can enjoy exclusive entertainment at The Warren Retreat, including kids’ discos, glow parties, game shows, and Cofton’s very own Digby 50th Birthday Special.

And because no birthday is complete without giving back, all fundraising throughout the day will support Rowcroft Hospice, with donations collected from stalls, activities, and attractions.

Helen Scott, Director at Cofton Holidays, said: “We’re so proud to be celebrating 50 golden years of Cofton. This party is all about saying thank you to our guests, our team, and our community. It’s going to be a day full of laughter, music, food, and fun – and we can’t wait to share it with everyone.”

The Cofton Holidays 50th Anniversary Birthday Bash takes place on Saturday 13th September, from 9:30am to 11pm. Entry is free, and everyone is welcome to join the celebrations.
