Exeter University students are joining forces with a local care home to offer old people outings to the Northcott Theatre.
Residents of Woodhayes Brendoncare will have their first visit, to a matinee performance, tomorrow.
The initiative's been organised by the Guild of Students, which also runs a massive Community Action programme.
It sees students visiting schools and old peoples' homes, helping charities for homeless and disabled people, and volunteering for one-off environmental projects.
