A driver who tried to go onto the A38 with a rolled-up carpet obscuring the view from both front and rear is counting the cost after being nabbed by the boys and girls in blue.
Officers pulled over the vehicle in Plympton, and found the carpet was kept in place only by bungee cords.
On Twitter, Devon and Cornwall Police said this "clearly wasn't a substantial method of securing the carpet."
You might say the driver has been carpeted.
Clearly they couldn't cover their tracks.
