2 sq kilometres of land, plus vehicles and boat destroyed in South Hams
There's still no explanation for the cause of a massive open-air fire in south Devon yesterday afternoon.
Smoke could be seen across a large part of the South Hams after the blaze broke out on farmland between Dartmouth and Dittisham at half past two.
Fire crews from a dozen towns worked on it for around six hours.
Two square kilometres of fields have been damaged, together with sheds containing vehicles, a boat and fuel.
