A local church is putting its congregation in the hot seat - after introducing heated cushions for its pews.
Broadclyst church is one of two in Devon piloting the scheme by the Diocese of Exeter.
The idea is to cut down on heating bills and carbon emissions by offering worshippers a more direct source of warmth.
The cushions contain biodegradable chemically-triggered re-heatable pads which stay warm for 90 minutes and can be used up to a thousand times.
