A man who attempted to rob a Devon Beefeater restaurant while wearing a clown mask, and stole nearly 10 thousand pounds in two further raids on another branch, has been jailed.
23 year old Oliver Leggatt from Paignton, a former employee of the company, struck at the Kingsteignton branch in May 2014 but left empty-handed.
He robbed the Paignton branch in December and again in April 2015, threatening staff and forcing them to open the safe.
He's been jailed for nine years and nine months - which also included sentencing for a 65 thousand pound fraud against his grandparents, committed with his brother who's already been sent to prison.
