The public consultation on proposed measures to cut the costs of Devon and Somerset fire service ends today.
Managers are planning to introduce several changes including scaled-down crewing arangements in parts of the area, to reduce spending by five and a half million pounds over the next two years.
The fire authority have approved the proposal, but the fire brigades union are strongly against the cuts, which are in response to a dramatic reduction in government funding.
