An innovative service gets up and running in Exeter today to help prevent people getting into debt with the city council.
Advisers are now on hand in the civic centre where staff can refer people to them immediately for advice if they come in to discuss a financial problem.
The local citizens advice bureau has joined forces with a charity, Homemaker South West, to provide the free service.
