Exeter city councillors will today be asked to approve spending an extra six million pounds on the planned new leisure complex, to be built on the site of the bus station.
The proposal is to add extra facilities including a much bigger spa area and more fitness stations, bringing the cost up to 26 million pounds.
The council says the money will come from the sale of assets and developer contributions - not the taxpayer.
