A report on east Devon district council's safeguards against corruption has been criticised by some local councillors - who say it's 'lightweight' and 'takes too much for granted'.
The audit was carried out after the controversy involving the former Feniton councillor Graham Brown... who resigned after apparently telling undercover reporters he could help secure planning permission for a fee, in his other role as a consultant.
He insists that he has done nothing wrong but many felt there was a conflict between those roles, and that the auditors should have explored this issue in more depth.
