Rescued off Torquay
A diver suffering the bends has been airlifted to hospital after being pulled from the sea off Torquay.
Emergency services were called to Anstey's Cove in Torbay on Saturday afternoon.
The diver was pulled from the water and taken to land before being transported by a search and rescue helicopter to Derriford. Their condition is not publicly known.
The Maritime and Coastguard Agency said: Teignmouth RNLI lifeboat, Torbay and Plymouth coastguard rescue teams, the HM Coastguard search and rescue helicopter from Newquay and South West Ambulance Service were sent to assist a person suffering from decompression sickness of Anstey's Cove, Torquay.
"The search and rescue teams on scene, as well as the ambulance service, provided medical assistance and transferred the casualty into the helicopter for onward medical care."
