A new report has identified several 'pockets of rural deprivation' in Devon.
Plymouth and Torbay were named among the most deprived districts in the south west - but in this area, Mid-Devon came out worse than Exeter, Teignbridge and East Devon.
The assessment is based on factors including income, affordability of housing, crime, health and access to services.
