Doctors in Devon are backing a national campaign to try and break down some of the myths surrounding schizophrenia.
National charity, Rethink Mental Illness, has launched the initiative.
It wants to challenge the belief that schizophrenia is associated with violent crime - in fact sufferers are far more likely to be victims than perpetrators.
The local NHS says it'll also be focusing more on the needs of mental health patients, and working with GPs to improve diagnosis and treatment.
