Devon and Cornwall police have achieved a fall of nearly ten per cent in crime during the summer... compared to the same three months last year.
And there was a reduction of nearly 12 per cent in crimes such as theft and violence.
Police analysed their previous call-outs to see where the worst crime was ... and then sent officers out to those areas.
