Collaboration between Europe and local wildlife organisations has saved a rare bird from extinction and brought it back to the local countryside, according to a local Member of the European Parliament.
The cirl bunting almost died out in the 1980s because of a lack of food and nesting sites, but the RSPB has used EU funding to increase the population.
It's now found in several locations between Exeter and Plymouth.
