People who have problems with their memory in the Exeter area are to be helped to improve fire safety in their homes.
The Topsham-based Estuary League of Friends, who visit elderly people in their homes, will be trained by fire safety officers to spot hazards and obstacles which could block people's exit in an emergency.
In return, fire service staff will be trained to identify and work with people suffering from Alzheimers or similar conditions.
