It may not reopen for a number of days
The popular splash pad in St Thomas has been temporarily closed due to a lightning strike.
According to Exeter City Council, the strike has apparently blown the valves that let water in, and that the site had been closed 'with a heavy heart'.
They say they're doing everything possible to get them fixed - but it may take a number of days.
It comes after the county witnessed a powerful storm last night, which brought down a number of trees and caused travel disruption.
It is with a heavy heart that we have had to temporarily close the St Thomas Splash Pad. The valves that let water in were the victim of a lightening strike and have blown. We are doing everything possible to get them fixed but it may take a number of days. pic.twitter.com/TKZHn6JzPQ
