Exmouth town councillors are united in their opposition to the proposed closures of residential homes and day centres.
At a special meeting this week they unanimously condemned the county council's plans, which would see the loss of the Davey Court care home in Exmouth which looks after people with dementia.
Day centres used by the elderly are also to be closed.
The councillors are also against cuts to children's services which put youth centres at risk.
