Controversial plans for a new hotel on Exmouth seafront go before the district's planning committee this morning.
The application by Premier Inn to demolish Elizabeth Hall and build the 60-bedroom hotel is being recommended for approval.
Twelve thousand people have signed a petition calling for the hall to be saved and put to use as a community arts and visitors' centre - and supporters of that proposal will be out in force at the meeting.
