Multiple 999 calls just after 11am on Monday
9 fire crews are battling a bungalow blaze on the junction of Whipton Village Road and Woolsery Avenue, near the Half Moon Pub.
The fire service says it received "a number of calls" reporting smoke.
Everyone is accounted for, but a member of the public needed treatment by paramedics after falling outside the property and hurting their head.
Fire control says they are fighting the fire from inside and outside the property, but are now dampening down.
