The shop will remain closed for some time
Fire crews have been tackling a blaze at a Co-op in Tavistock.
Emergency services were called to the shop on Market Street shortly after 19:00 on Wednesday after a fire alarm sent them an alert.
The blaze was found at the back of the shop, filling the premises with smoke.
A spokesperson for Devon and Somserset Fire and Rescue Service said the store would be closed for some time because of the damage which was caused.
