The Exeter-based airline Flybe is planning to sell all 25 of its landing and departure slots at Gatwick to easyJet.
The sale will net Flybe 20 million pounds.
Flybe said it had decided to sell following a 102 percent increase in slot charges over the past five years by the airport's owner
The airline is undergoing a major cost-cutting programme which includes shedding at least 10 per cent of its workforce.
