Questions are being asked in Exmouth over why seafront businesses have been closed down to make way for new attractions - after it emerged that the district council hasn't sought developers to build them.
The traders including the Fun Park and Harbour View Cafe are in the area designated for phase three of the seafront regeneration.
But a Freedom of Information request by the Save Exmouth Seafront campaigners revealed that the re-marketing of the site hasn't begun.
East Devon district council say their focus lately has been on bringing forward phase two of the plan, the watersports centre, and they want to seek public views on the next phase before marketing the sites.
