Work to widen Bridge Road gets underway in February.
During the whole programme of work, there'll be only one lane open in each direction between the Countess Wear and Matford roundabouts.
The 13-and-three-quarter million pound programme includes rotating the swing bridge slightly, creating a cantilevered bridge for walkers and cyclists, and reconstructing the junction at the Countess Wear end.
