    Graveyard restoration progress revealed

A group working to restore a historic graveyard in Exeter are showing off their work today.

The Dissenters Graveyard - used as a burial ground for Protestants who rejected the Anglican Church in the 18th and 19th centuries - had fallen into neglect and disrepair.

But over the past few months, six skip-loads of rubbish have been removed from the site near the Magdalen Chapter, and many of the gravestones have been cleaned.

The graveyard's open to the public from 11 till 4 today, with members of the group on hand to talk about their further restoration plans.
