The RSPCA is appealing for information after fourteen hamsters were found apparently abandoned in their cages in the city centre.
A member of the public spotted four cages next to a block of flats in King Street, shortly before Christmas.
When they were still there some hours later, the RSPCA was alerted.
The charity would like to hear from anyone who can identify their owner - or who would like to offer any of the hamsters a new home.
