Hospitals across Devon are making life easier for patients with dementia and their carers.
They're now allowing carers to visit at any time, not just during set times, meaning they can reassure the patients and help with care if needed.
The initiative's being introduced in local community hospitals as well as the Exeter RD&E - which has also signed up to the Exeter Dementia Action Alliance.
This means staff will get extra training and there'll be special activities and services for patients who have the condition.
