Part of the site of the Devon and Cornwall police headquarters in Exeter is to be sold to a supermarket... to fund new police facilities on another part of the estate.
Around 350 jobs will be created at the new store being built by Morrisons who will buy 15 acres of surplus land on the north of the Middlemoor site.
The sale of the land will pay for a new criminal justice centre and operational hub which will eventually replace the existing facility at Heavitree Road.
