There's concern that only a handful of people have come forward to help clean up Devon's beaches, on a national day of action later this month.
The Marine Conservation Society, who organise the Great British Beach Clean, say they particularly need volunteers to organise the sessions in Exmouth and Teignmouth.
The MCS say the the litter and debris collected yields valuable information about where the pollution is coming from, how to prevent it, and what new policies and legislation are needed to tackle the problem.
