Emergency services attended and found that one man, a local man in his 20’s believed to be the driver of the vehicle, close to the scene but having sustained critical injuries.
Despite the best efforts of the ambulance service, he was later declared deceased at the scene; his next of kin have been informed.
The road remains closed on Monday morning and a cordon in place at the scene. Officers will continue their investigation at the scene today.
