Schools in Devon are taking part in an initiative to develop community awareness of dementia.
The idea is to remove stigma towards the illness.
Seven schools, including Clyst Heath, St. Leonard's and St. Luke's in Exeter are attending a celebration event later hosted by television personality Angela Rippon, and attended by older people they've helped.
It's hoped the scheme will improve children's confidence when interacting with people with dementia.
